Professional Adult Educators of S.A. Inc. (PAESA) was born out of the fact that our working conditions have eroded over the last number of years and our work related issues we were not being addressed or resolved effectively. These issues were compounded by a pervasive atmosphere of fear, where questioning authority is discouraged, and concerns about potential repercussions prevent open dialogue. Lecturers have been despondent with the lack of support from other organisations so we decided to do something about it. We heard our colleagues and have responded with PAESA and are changing the narrative of our workplace conditions.
As a fully registered, not-for-profit association, we are dedicated to empowering adult educators in South Australia. Our mission is to ensure your voice is heard and your rights are upheld. We are listening, we are you, we are effective.
We are getting runs on the board and winning our way to justice in the workplace. Just read our member testimonials below.
Don’t be afraid. We are here. you are not alone.
A message from your Public Officer

At Professional Adult Educators of S.A. Incorporated, we are a fully registered and incorporated, not for profit, association, committed to supporting adult educators with workplace issues. Our services include providing support and advice on employment conditions and supporting our members in tough meetings with the employer. We conduct professional development workshops to raise awareness of work rights and strategies to negotiate conditions. We believe that knowledge is power and leads to greater confidence. The more knowledge we have of our rights, the better able we are to fight for them.
We stand by adult educators, providing unwavering support in workplace challenges and ensuring voices are heard.
Through knowledge, resources, and professional development, we aim to empower educators to confidently navigate their issues and concerns. Once we know how to do it, we can!
